Vapium Summit Plus Review

The Vapium Summit+ Portable Vaporizer was a product we were skeptical about because of the size and price point. You usually get what you pay for and things at or under $150 often don’t live up to the hype. We were actually pleasantly surprised by this unique device and we’ll break down our review of it below.

This device is only for use with dry herbs, so if you want any other mediums, you’ll need to look elsewhere. The size of this unit is surprisingly small but ergonomically friendly to your hand. It’s powered by an internal lithium ion battery that is recharged through a micro usb port on the side. So if you have an android phone, it’s the same connection as that. Quality wise it feels how you’d expect at a price point around $150, nothing great, but not too cheap either. It is put together well so you shouldn’t have an issue with that.

The device functions like the Pax or the Series 7 from V2 Cigs in that it takes about an hour to charge and you get around an hour of use before needing to recharge. You can use it as a pass-thru device so that means you can vape while it is charging. The oven is located near the bottom of the unit, similar to the Pax, and the vapor rises through the unit and out the mouthpiece. This is a disadvantage to the Series 7 vaporizer because once you use this, you can’t really travel with it without having paraphernalia on you and that’s a risk a lot of people don’t want to take. The lid on the over is magnetic and the oven size is good enough for 1-2 people to use it at a time.

To get it to turn on, you hold the power button and it will light up indicating that it is heating up the oven and getting ready to be used. There are 8 settings on this device to use and you will need to find what works best for you. As experienced vapers, we prefer the higher settings and we pack the oven a little tighter to get better clouds. However, with that said, maybe you don’t need as much material in it and you can go with a lower smoother temperature and still reach your intended state. That’s the beauty of personal vaporizers, you can set them to what works best for you.

Once it’s heated up and ready to go, you’ll be signaled that it is in this state because it will vibrate and the button will turn green instead of blue. The vibrating is a new feature to us but it’s a cool one. We all know you can sometimes get lost in conversation while waiting for it to heat up and you won’t miss it being ready this way. It’s a lot like the restaurant pagers that let you know when your table is ready. So all you need to do now is inhale on the end of the device.

It’s best to take slower and longer draws on the device to get the best results. Vaping is something you get better at with experience but we offer the advice just to help you out getting started. This device will auto-hibernate after 90 seconds and if you want to continue vaping, just hit the power button once and it will heat back up to the right temperature. This is a safety feature and also preserves your dry herb from getting vaped while you aren’t using the device anymore. A downside to this device is that it doesn’t vibrate when it goes into hibernation mode, so you need to keep an eye on that. That is the time we would actually prefer it vibrated more than when it was ready because this is something you can miss not paying attention.

So overall this device performs similar to the pax at a lower price. We were surprised you didn’t have to take long draws to get good amounts of vapor. The vapor payoff is above average for this price point for sure. The taste is good and it’s smooth. If it feels too hot or the flavor is off, you’ll want to make sure your herbs are ground up well and you turn down the temperature. This device is a little harder to clean than devices like the Series 7 from V2, but it’s about the same as the Pax for cleaning requirements. It has a screen that you can pop out and put pipe cleaners through the device to clear the airway. You’ll want to be sure to do this regularly because if there is a resin build up, you’re going to have a bad time.  But overall we recommend this device for entry level vapers looking for a low cost portable device.

PUFFiT 2 Portable Vaporizer Review

The PUFFiT 2 is created by Andrew Miller and it is designed to be the ultimate stealth vaporizer as it mimics an asthma inhaler. This model improved upon previous models that were much larger than actual inhalers and instead this is the same size as a real one. They’ve also removed the lights on it which were a dead giveaway and now it utilized haptic feedback, or vibration, to let you know the status of the device. So while this would be overkill for use in your house, this could be ideal for people going to public places that want to be able to vape without getting caught. You should note that the smell will still be present so you’d want to hide a bit, it just won’t look like you’re vaping when you use this from a distance.

To fill the device, you pull the outer cover off and then putt out the internal section and it folds open. This can be an issue when it’s hot as you’re grabbing metal parts so be careful and use something else to grab it. You don’t want to over pack this unit at lower temperatures or you’ll get nothing. So bring up your herbs finely and loosely load them into the bowl. You can turn up the temperature if you do pack it tighter and it might take a couple cycles to get it going. Then you close it up and put the internals back in and you’re ready to activate the device.

The device is a bit complicated to fill but once you have it loaded, you simply push the metal item in to turn it on as if you were going to use an inhaler. You will get a vibration sensation to let you know it’s heating up. Then when it is ready to go, it will vibrate once again. Then you just puff on it and get vapor production. The vapor payoff is not quite what we would like overall, but it’s satisfactory for a $100 price point. Again we usually preach that you get what you pay for.

The downside to this device is that the bowl is quite small too. So it’s definitely only good for single person use. With it being a smaller bowl you’ll want to take really slow draws from the device. It is very similar to the magic box vape device if you are familiar with that. The benefit of having less vapor though is that it aids in being more stealth.

This device definitely isn’t an everyday use as your only vape. You want this for on the go stealth situations. For at home we recommend the Series 7 Vaporizer from V2 or a desktop model like the Volcano if money is no issue for you. This is a fun device but it sides more on novelty than practical for most of us. I don’t know many people that would need to vape in public where they had to worry too much about it, but if that fits you, I would suggest going with the PUFFiT 2.

Firefly 2 Vaporizer Review

The Firefly vaporizer was a popular portable vaporizer in 2014 and at the time, it was great. However, things have changed technology-wise and the Firefly 2 is much better and a very improved device. The new Firefly 2 is 33% smaller, 55% lighter, and provides much better battery life compared to the previous version. At a price point of over $300, we’re going to be expecting a lot more from this device.

The key that separates this device from others is its heating method. It heats up in seconds to deliver vapor, while others take a minute or more depending on the vaporizer we’re talking about. The design seems like it’s kind of modeled after a USB Dongle, only supersized. It makes it incredibly portable and the form factor is ideal for using it with the mouthpiece coming off the main unit.

You can buy this device in multiple colors: black, blue, gold, red, and white. Our personal favorite is the white because it gives it a fresh look. In the box you will also get 2 rechargeable batteries, a charging dock, a USB 3.0 cable, a cleaning kit, and 3 concentration pads.

The Firefly 2 has fingertip touch sensors on the side that activate the unit and begin to heat it up to 400° F in 3 seconds or less! That is shockingly fast and truly heats up as fast as they say. There is no false advertising here. It is able to do this through convection technology and it heats the bowl up that is near the top of the device.

The really great thing about the convection technology being so responsive with the heat up time, is that it actually utilizes a dynamic heating process that only heats your material when you inhale. So you will get all the flavors and aromas right when they are released and you won’t waste any material. This is a unit that will start paying for itself in what it saves you in consumed product.

The mouthpiece is made of glass to ensure maximum flavor and has a glass pathway all the way to your mouth. This not only improves the flavor, but it also makes it really easy to clean out. The bowl has a magnetic lid over it to give it a clean look and you can see it glow when it’s working. Overall, this is a stunningly beautiful vaporizer compared to any other one we’ve seen.

As far as the battery and heater are concerned, you will be getting about 5-6 bowls per charge and the heater will be much more responsive and precise, creating a better device all around. Getting two batteries included with this device is expected at this price point because you never want to be without a charge. The device uses USB 3.0 cables and has a charging dock to charge it much more rapidly than devices using the USB 2.0 technology. The device has two small connection points on the back that pass the charge through when it is docked on the unit. The device will charge in 45 minutes and can be plugged into any phone or tablet charger as well. These seemingly small details make for a huge gain in user experience.

This device also is capable of syncing with your phone on the free Firefly app. You can select from six preset temperatures and customize the touch sensor activation making it one of the most precise units we’ve ever used.
This device does an amazing job with concentrates and dry herb. The vapor payoff is far better than we expected and when you sync it with the app, you get great control over the experience that is best for you. The denser the bowl is packed, the higher you will want to have the temperature set. It also is wise to start out lower when you begin if you’re new to vaping and work your way up as your lungs may take some time to adjust to the difference from smoke. Take long, slow draws to get the maximum vapor payoff.

Overall, this device totally exceeded our expectations, even when compared to the price point. It is worth every penny and while we understand it is a lot, if you have the money, buy this unit. I actually like this more than the V2 Pro Series 7 and the Pax 2 combined. This is the best portable vaporizer on the market and warrants consideration as one of the best vaporizers on the market period.

Arizer Air Portable Vaporizer Review

The Arizer Air Portable Vaporizer is one of our favorite products we have ever reviewed for portable devices. With this device, you will receive the air multi-purpose micro-heater, the air battery (18650 battery), a charger / power adapter, glass aroma tube with a tip, glass aroma dish, belt-clip carry case, clear protective silicone skin, silicone stem caps, stainless steel stirring tool, sample aromatic botanicals, and an owner’s manual. So they literally give you everything you need to use this from the get go. We anticipate most of you will have products you can use instead of the included aromatic botanicals, but it is nice they include it for testing it out.

The Arizer Air is smaller than you would think by looking at it. It is just under 5 inches in height and is about an inch in diameter. It has the heat chamber at the top that opens and closes very easily for loading and packing the device. A very unique feature to this device is that it uses 18650 batteries which are incredibly common in vaping (electronic cigarettes) and it can be changed on the go. The reason we love this feature is because everyone knows you can get a little lazy when vaping certain herbs and forget to charge your device and that can leave you without a charge. You can easily find 18650 batteries in pairs for cheap (around $20 or less) and get an independent charger so one will always be charged and ready to go. You can also plug in the device to charge it, but we recommend getting some extra batteries for the reasons we just mentioned.

When you’re using the device, you’ll get 1 hour of actual vaping time which may not sound like a lot, but the device features a 10-minute cutoff time safety feature. So with each charged battery, you will be able to vape 6 times. The 10 minutes will be more than enough to satisfy you as well if you haven’t vaped dry herb before and were curious. That’s why if you have 2-4 batteries, you can always be prepared and ready for longer trips away from outlets.

This device is very similar to the Solo in the function of the device. The Solo came with seven temperature settings and this one has 5. You hold the button until the light flashes and then select the temperature you want to use. The blue indicator shows you that it is operating at 356°F, white is operating at 374°F, green is operating at 392°F, orange is operating at 401°F, and lastly red is operating at 410°F. What we’ve found was that the tighter you pack the device, the higher the temperature you will need. There is also some variation in how used to vapor your lungs are and you’ll want to start out lower and work your way up as you begin using this so you don’t waste any dry herb.

Before you use it, you should heat up the device at the highest temperature and then let it cycle once and put each glass chamber in at that point when the metal is expanded. This will allow it to fit better when you use it going forward. When you’re ready to actually use it, you want to load one of the glass chambers with your herb material that is ground up as best as possible.

So once you have the material loaded you’ll just put the glass chamber into the main device and turn on the heat at the setting you prefer. As it heats up, the vapor amount will increase and you’ll get better hits from it. It usually takes about a minute to reach optimal temperature and we find that you get better effects from vaping vs smoking, so as mentioned above the 10 minutes should be more than good enough for you. The device also comes with a glass attachment to vape essential oils and concentrates if that is what you prefer.

We recommend you put the skin on the device to protect it. Since there are glass pieces involved, you should remove the glass pieces and pack them in the travel device or original packaging to make sure nothing breaks.

Overall, this is a great unit because the glass pathway to vapor gives you the truest flavor comparable to other glass devices and desktop models. The benefit of this is that it is very portable while still delivering that flavor. You will get solid vapor payoff and the removable batteries are another key benefit to this device. It is also really easy to clean and it the device will last you a long time.

G Pen Elite Vaporizer Review

The G Pen Elite Vaporizer is from a popular brand Grenko Science. It is their latest generation of their portable vaporizers. The box it comes in actually makes a statement too as it is a round cylinder to give it a different look. We tried out this new vaporizer to see if it lived up to the brand and if it matched up well when compared to similarly priced devices.

When you open the top of the box, you will see it has foam inserts holding everything in place which acts as a great way to protect the unit in shipping and moving it around. The first thing inside is the actual G Pen Elite Vaporizer. Then there is a smaller box that has the USB charger, a quick start guide, and a chamber tool on a keychain. You also get a “G” card that is actually a grinder for your dry herbs. It’s pretty stable and works well for free. You will also notice that these new devices have a serial number now to prove it is authentic as they have had a lot of problem with knock offs that don’t work well hurting their brand. So make sure you have a serialized kit if you’re buying it.

Looking at the actual device, it comes assembled and ready to go. The first thing you’ll notice is the mouthpiece pulls up and off to expose the oven. The chamber is surprisingly deep and it actually does better than the competition for creating the biggest chamber in class. The mouthpiece has a filter on it as well to prevent any materials from coming through when you are vaping. The device itself has a unique shape with good balance and the ergonomics are great as it fits your hand very well. It is very sleek and they have also reduced the height and quality compared to the G Pen Pro previous edition. There is a breach for your finger to rest naturally on that wraps around the unit and then the G at the bottom lights up with use looking great.

When we went to use the device, we first needed to grind up our herb and have it ready to go in the chamber. We actually used the “G” card to grind it and it did a pretty good job of doing it. It isn’t as fine as you would get with a traditional grinder but for in a pinch it does the job well. To remove the top, grab the device firmly and just pull the top mouthpiece off. It gets easier to do after the first time as well. Next you drop the material into the chamber and use the packing tool to push it down. You tend to not want to pack it super tight, but keeping it snug will improve your performance. Fill it all the way up to the top and close the mouthpiece. Now you’re ready to move on to using it.

This is a three button operation device. The power is set to be locked from turning on with one click which is a great safety feature as you don’t want it to accidentally be firing in your pocket. You click it five times in a row quickly to turn it on and activate it. Then there are the up and down buttons on the side by the LED screen that shows the temperature. You can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit by holding the power button and the plus or minus key depending on which one you want to switch it to. You then want to adjust the temperature to what you want based on your preference. We’ve found that higher temperatures are better with the more pack in to the device. It also depends on how familiar your lungs are with vapor as to how hot you want to go to start. It is best to start lower and work your way up if you’re new to vaping. After you’ve selected the temperature you want, you will hold the power button for a second and it will begin to heat up to the set temperature. This takes about 30 seconds to reach depending on the setting.

Once you’re reached this point, you’re ready to begin vaping. The vapor payoff was quite impressive for the size of it. You will want to take long and slow draws to get the best results. This takes time and practice to perfect as anyone who vapes can tell you. The device performs so well consistently during the entire session and heat to the touch was never an issue. You will find the middle of the mouthpiece can get a little hot but by wrapping your lips around the mouthpiece, it never really becomes an issue. The device will turn itself off to prevent overheating and issues. So you can always run it again and vape two sessions in a row. I wouldn’t really push it beyond that without waiting to prevent anything from overheating since it does reach pretty high temperatures.

Compared to the Pax, we like this better because everything is in the top so it isn’t passing through the device like the Pax has. So the cleaning element afterwards is much easier than the Pax. When using dry herb, it is very comparable to the similarly priced Series 7 from V2 Cigs. The disadvantage to this device is that it doesn’t do all three mediums of liquid, wax, and dry herb that the series 7 can do. However, if you’re a person who only uses dry herb and has no need for concentrates or e-liquids, this device could be perfect for you. It is very worth the money and it has held up over time using it.

V2 Pro Series 3 Review

The new big thing from V2 is here, the V2 Pro Series 3. An extremely versatile product, the V2 Pro Series 3 features removable cartridges that allow you to enjoy a variety of mediums with ease. The V2 Pro Series 3 Kit comes with one vaporizer, one USB charger, and one e-liquid cartridge. Loose leaf and essential oil cartridges are sold separately. I was extremely impressed with the attractive design and how easy it was to operate. The V2 Pro Series 3 is definitely my new favorite portable vaporizer.

One of the first things I noticed about the V2 Pro Series 3 was its design. It’s an extremely sleek, compact unit that fits easily into your pocket or purse. It comes in three pleasing colors: silver, black, and blue. V2 Pro Series 3 allows you to take your vaporizer virtually anywhere, without any excess bulk or weight. Other vaporizers on the market have screw-on attachments that don’t fit correctly to the battery, giving it an unappealing appearance. The V2 Pro Series 3 has a smooth and consistent diameter that features magnetic, pop-in cartridges that are hidden completely by the body of the device.

The cartridges used with the V2 Pro Series 3 are extremely easy to use and connect to the device. The e-liquid cartridge is easily refilled by screwing off the top and inserting your favorite e-liquid into the cartridge. The mouthpiece secures back on tightly so you never have to worry about leaks ever again. Using the V2 Pro Series 3 with e-liquids gives you a smooth hit, while also allowing you to produce a substantial vapor cloud.

What really blew me away about this product is the loose leaf cartridge. This cartridge allows you to enjoy your favorite loose leaf tobacco products, pipe tobaccos, and medicinal herbs, all with one product. Like all the V2 Pro Series 3 cartridges, the loose leaf cartridge is magnetic. Simply line the circle on the back of the cartridge with the body of the device, click and snap it in, and you’re ready to go! To begin vaping, simply hold down the button and wait for the LED on the end of the device to turn red. As it heats up to the optimal vaping temperature, the LED will change to orange. When it is ready to be used, the LED will turn green. What I really liked was that you don’t have to hold the button down every time you want to take a hit, just hold the device and puff away. The V2 Pro Series 3 uses an automatic timer, which cycles off after 2 minutes. I really like this feature because I tend to be a bit absent-minded, and the timer prevents me from forgetting to turn the device off. After you’re done, the chamber within the loose leaf cartridge is extremely easy to clean. This cartridge also comes with two handy tools to make cleaning even easier. It comes with a pick tool to remove particles of loose leaf from inside the chamber and a brush tool to remove any excess debris that may be left over. I was extremely surprised at how easy it was to clean and maintain the loose leaf cartridge.

Another great feature about the V2 Pro Series 3 is that the battery life is extremely long. My life has become so much easier after switching to the V2 Pro Series 3. I am no longer scrambling to find a USB port all the time, which is extremely relieving. I can use my device all day without worrying about when the battery will die. The charging cord for this device is completely magnetic, so if you pull too hard on it and it disconnects, no damage is done to the device. Undoubtedly my favorite feature about the V2 Pro Series 3 is that it acts as a pass-thru you can use it while it’s charging. Battery died? Just attach the charger to the device and keep enjoying your favorite e-liquids and loose leaf products!

V2 is coming out with a third cartridge for the V2 Pro Series 3, which will allow you to use another medium with the same device. The third cartridge for the V2 Pro Series 3 is the essential oil cartridge. This cartridge heats up to the optimal temperature for consuming your favorite essential oils. The essential oil cartridge is being released sometime in November, and I can’t wait to get my hands on one. Keep your eyes peeled on their website; it’s definitely going to be a cartridge worth buying!

Overall, I think this is a great vaporizer for a wide variety of users. Whether you want to enjoy your favorite e-liquid, loose leaf, or essential oil, the V2 Pro Series 3 has got you covered. No more having to buy three different devices for each of your vaporizing needs, the V2 Pro Series 3 does it all. This vaporizer highly exceeded my expectations, and it has definitely become my new favorite vaporizer. The V2 Pro Series 3 is perfect for any vaper, experienced or beginner, and is so versatile you’ll never need to buy another vaporizer again.

V2 Cigs Series 7 Vaporizer Review

The V2 Cigs Series 7 Vaporizer is one of our top recommendations for a vape device because it’s the first true 3-in-1 product on the market that works. The 3 mediums that the series 7 from V2 allows you to vape are e-liquids, concentrates, and dry herbs. The device has technology built in to know which cartridge is in the unit in attached and adjusts the heating method automatically.

V2 also offers a series 3 model that is much smaller and not as capable as the series 7 so that is why we are going direct to the series 7 for our review. It is definitely worth the extra money for the added benefits of variable voltage and temperature settings that you don’t get with the series 3. It also has much higher capacities on the cartridges compared to the series 3.

The device comes in 3 color options being Black, Blue, and Silver. Our favorite is the blue so that’s the one we chose to get ourselves. The kit itself includes the vaporizer body, a liquid cartridge, loose leaf cartridge, a USB charger, a wall adapter, and a pick and brush tool for cleaning. You get all this at the starting price of $169.99. We however also purchased the wax cartridge for an additional $29.99 to take advantage of all 3 mediums and truly test the unit out with the full capabilities.

Every connection on the device is done through magnets. So to place cartridges in and remove them you simply slide or drop them in to exchange them. The charger is also connected through a magnet so you don’t ever have it get stuck on something as it will break free. You also don’t need to worry about causing damage to the threads. The body of the device has a main button about 1/3 down from the top that is used to control it and lock/unlock the device. You then have 3 LED lights below that button in crescent shapes to indicate voltage settings for e-liquid and wax and temperature setting for loose leaf materials.

The first cartridge we used was the e-liquid cartridge. When you drop the cartridge in, the magnets let the device know which one it is and adjust the settings to voltage and in the right range for that medium. The device does that for all 3 of the cartridges so we’ll only mention that once. The e-liquid cartridge itself holds 2.5ml of liquid. It is set to operate at 3.7, 4.2, and 4.7 volts based on how you adjust it. All 3 LED indicators will be lit up to indicate 4.7 volts. We used a liquid incense in the device to see how well it worked. The vapor production was decent and on par with the amount of smoke you would get smoking traditional loose leaf products. This isn’t a cloud making device by any stretch of the imagination, but it is more than adequate to let you inhale as much as you need. It operates with holding the button each time you draw in this mode and is only active while the button is depressed. The throat hit was reasonably strong but not overpowering on the highest setting for us. So the device definitely works well for liquids as we expected since V2 got its name by becoming one of the largest e-cigarette companies in 2013.

The main cartridge we used this device for was the loose leaf cartridge. The unit heats up continuously and it runs for 2 minutes on a cycle. We often packed the unit tighter and ran it at the highest temperature twice in a row and got the perfect use of the buds inside the unit and a great feeling after for two people. The second round brings you clouds of vapor the entire time where as it builds up during the first round. There is an illuminating ring on the device that indicates in green when it is ready to start using. The bowl space on this unit is also quite good and comparable to the pax units. The oven chamber measures 1300mm3. As mentioned above, the heating is done through conduction making it stay on and it can reach temperatures of 200 degrees Celsius, 215 degrees Celsius, and 225 degrees Celsius. They say you can get 20 sessions per charge and we found it was pretty close to that but it did depend on the temperature settings. When we used it in the higher temperature setting, we lost a session or two on average.

The last cartridge we used was the one that didn’t come with the kit but we ordered with it, the wax cartridge. This one has one temperature setting of 600 degrees Celsius and you can adjust the wattage though on it. While V2 calls it the wax cartridge, you don’t need to use just waxes. It also works with gels and similar other concentrates. So you truly can vape all types of products with this single device. With wax you don’t need as much in the unit to vape and reach your goal. So the size that is in the cartridge is more than enough for you and friends to share one single load on the device. The unit heats up perfectly and you get rich clouds full of great taste with the concentrates. All of the cartridges are easy to clean, but this one obviously is the hardest of the three because of the substance you are putting in. Luckily the tools included help with that having the pick tool but you might want to but the V2 Pro Cleaning Kit as well since it has some extra items including tweezers and alcohol pads.

Overall this device is hands down one of the best on the market for those looking for flexibility. It might not be the top of the line at any one category but is above average in every category. A huge side benefit to this device is that you can travel with it by simply throwing away the cartridge and buying a new one so you don’t have to cross state lines with contraband where it isn’t legal. The problem with many devices is that the bowl is built in to the entire unit and resin runs through it. The cartridge is the only place substances come into contact with the device so you don’t have to worry about that. You will not have any issue traveling. At the price point too, this is a great deal when compared to devices that can do single functions, let alone what it would cost you to buy devices that could do all 3. So hurry up and buy one today. You can thank us later!

Prohibited In The 5th Degree Vaporizer Review

The new line of Prohibited Vaporizers has finally arrived and we’re excited to share with you first-hand experience with the Prohibited In The 5th Degree Vaporizer. This is a 2-in-1 vaporizer designed specifically for use with buds and concentrates. It is truly the best premium vape we’ve used to date.

The Prohibited In The 5th Degree Vaporizer has the fastest heat up times in the industry and variable temperature control. That allows you to set the device to the perfect temperature every time regardless of medium. The device also features magnetic drop-in cartridges and a magnetic charger. This is amazing because there is no screwing things together, the connections just snap on and off. The reason this is great on the charging is that it prevents damage to the device. If something puts tension on the line inadvertently, it would just snap off with no harm done.

The In The 5th Degree vaporizer comes in your choice of 4 colors. You can get it in singed (black), struck (purple), jade, or bone (white) to match the look you want. The Bone is actually our favorite color but we’ve always like the clean look of white on devices which is hard to find. The mouthpiece on both the buds and concentrates cartridges is black so it goes well with any color.

Prohibited Vaporizer

Most devices on the market come with a limited amount of items included in the kit in the hope to get you to upgrade and spend more. The idea is that it’s something you need, so you’ll be forced to buy it. So, while it seems like you’re saving money with some kits, they end up costing much more. This kit is priced at $199.99 and it comes with the following items included:

  • 1x In the 5th Degree vaporizer
  • 1x magnetic USB charging cord
  • 1x wall adapter
  • 1x In the 5th Degree Dry Herb Cartridge
  • 1x In the 5th Degree Concentrates Cartridge
  • 1x pick tool and 1x brush tool – for basic cartridge maintenance

As you can see, you’ll get everything you need to vape whichever medium you choose and at a pretty reasonable price considering the technology. We know there are cheaper options out there. In this field you truly get what you pay for though, so keep that in mind.

Unboxed Bone Prohibited Vaporizer

The first thing you’ll want to do is charge the device fully. It comes with a charge but we highly recommend maxing it out before use. If you are going to use the dry herb cartridge, simply grind up your product and put it inside the bowl. This bowl is actually quite large compared to other options on the market. Then you snap in the cartridge and you’re ready to vape. You can double tap the power button to change the temperature from low to medium to high depending on your preference. We use the high setting, but you should start at medium and find the best fit for you. Variables that will impact which works best is how well you grind your product up and how tight you pack the bowl.

5th Degree Vaporizer Cartridge

If you’re using this device for concentrates, not only are you in for a treat, but it’s easy and has a very little mess. The instructions tell you to fill the bowl with to the line, but we will tell you that you don’t need to do that. We simply put a couple dabs in and go from there. You’d be putting a couple month’s supply in if you filled the bowl, that’s how big it is. This cartridge is FAR better than any we’ve ever used because it’s a dual-quartz and titanium cartridge that heats the wax up directly on the coils. This means you’re getting instant satisfaction and you will love every single hit. There is no other product out there on the market doing it like this one does for wax. While we recommend this product for anyone with dry herb or wax/concentrates, it’s a must have for those who use wax.

Prohibited 5th Degree Wax Cartridge

We used the wax cartridge every day for a few weeks and never once needed to charge it. If you’re using it for the buds, you’ll probably want to make a habit of charging it every day since it uses continuous heating. You can go a couple days without charging but it will be best to ensure it’s always charged so you don’t have to wait when you’re ready to vape more.

The Dabber attachment that goes onto the Prohibited In The 5th Degree Vaporizer is now available to everyone for just $59.99. This is a great entry point and we were so excited to get our hands on it. It is capable of reaching 350 degrees Celsius and offers the first mess-free dabbing experience we’ve ever used. The drop-in cartridge has a removable glass airflow tube that is super easy to take out and clean. The vaporizer knows you’ve attached the dabber to it and switches the electronics automatically to operate in dab mode. You simply fill up your concentrate cartridge with the product you want to vape and then dab and draw. There are no torches involved or butane. There is no more guesswork on getting to the ideal temperature either.

Prohibited Vaporizer

You can even remove the dabber attachment and travel with your Prohibited Vaporizer because no material ever goes through the device itself. This is really one of the most exciting developments in the multi-use vaporizer field we have ever seen. The e-rig attachment is expected to be out later this year making this far and above the most versatile vaporizer ever made. You already won’t find anything close to it with the dabber, dry buds, and concentrate cartridges available today.

The device has another exciting new attachment coming in the near future. The new part coming is the In The 5th Degree E-Rig. This is rumored to be a tool for super-concentrated vapor from dabs. The heat will go up to 450 degrees Celsius and uses a glass bubbler with it. It will have interchangeable e-nails and a great travel case. This promises to change the way we look at vaping forever.

The Prohibited 5th Degree Vaporizer is the single best purchase you can make right now. It blows away the Pax series kits and pretty much anything else portable on the market today. We highly recommend this having had a sneak peek look and test of the device in-house. We rarely are left begging for them to take our money, but this was a case we felt that way.

V2 Pro Series 3X Review

The V2 Pro Series 3X is the greatest single user portable vaporizer on the market. Building on the popular V2 Pro Series 3 (that is very affordable), they have taken things to the next level. In this review, we’ll discuss the popular 3-in-1 vape device that is disrupting the industry in a good way. We think it’s a must own device, and you’ll see why as we go through this V2 Pro Series 3x Review.

As mentioned above, this is a 3-in-1 device, and that means that it can handle three different mediums all using the same vaporizer. It handles E-Liquid, Dry Herb, and Concentrates. It does this through independently housed smart cartridges that never allow the material to pass through the body of the device. The reason we point this fact out right away is because it allows you to take the device with you anywhere with new cartridges. If you’re planning a weedcation to Colorado, buy a new cartridge beforehand, and it can all travel with you since no residue will be in the device body like similar functioning vaporizers on the market today.

V2 Pro Series 3X Vape Pen

Now that we have that out there let’s dive into some of the details of the device that make it a great choice for you. If you purchase just the kit, you can get it for $84.99 with the coupon code ECR15. You can also purchase the kit with the e-liquid pods for under $94 using that same coupon code. We highly recommend you at least get the one with the pods to try them once at a discount. Then you can decide if they are right for you or not.

V2 Pro PodsV2 Pro 3X

Inside the kit, you’ll receive one Series 3X vaporizer, one Series 3 PG Ceramic E-Liquid cartridge, one Series 3X E-Liquid Cartridge, three atomizers, and one magnetic charging cord. If you get the kit with the Pro Pods, then you’ll receive six pods of your choice of flavors and strengths. These are the equivalent of about six packs of cigarettes. To make it a 3-in-1 kit, you’ll need to buy the loose leaf cartridge for under $15 and the wax cartridge for under $25.

Loose Leaf Cartridges

Once you get your V2 Pro Series 3X, you’ll want to charge the battery. It comes with a charge on it, but it is best to charge it up before using it so you get a sense of how long the battery will last. To charge the Series 3X, attach the magnetic end to the device by holding it near it, and it will snap in place. Then plug the other end into the wall and indicators will go from red to yellow to green when fully charged. Once it’s fully charged, pull it off the magnetic charging cable and drop in the cartridge you want to use. Each cartridge will connect magnetically and snap-in.

Series 3x Vaporizer

Once you drop in the cartridge, the device will automatically deter which one has been inserted and change the functioning of the device to the right settings. For e-liquid, it will function by holding the power button while drawing. You can adjust the settings of voltage and wattage by pressing the power button rapidly three times. It will then cycle through, and you can press the power button when it reaches the level you want. At this point, it is very easy to hold the button while drawing and letting go. It’s that simple. You use the different cartridges for PG and VG liquids and also can change the atomizers to find your preference. The atomizers that come with it are 0.9 Ohms (VG vaping), 1.2 Ohms (PG vaping), and 1.5 Ohms (PG vaping) and they indicate on the atomizer body the type of liquid it is for each one.

The next cartridge is the dry herb cartridge and probably the one you’re most interested in hearing about in this review. To use this cartridge, you’ll need to finely grind up the herbs going into it with a grinder. That is important for even vaping and smooth hits. This cartridge uses conduction heating that in continuous for a 2-minute cycle. You can adjust how hot it gets by following the same protocol as above in pressing the power button rapidly three times. Then it will cycle, and you can press the power button to lock it on the heat setting you want. We recommend starting with the second heat setting. After it is loaded and on the power setting you want, hold the power button until the light turns on at the bottom the device, then let go. It will be a red ring to start and progress to yellow and finally green when ready. You can begin drawing once it turns green and while it remains green without pushing any additional buttons. You’ll get 2 minutes to vape it, and then the material is most likely spent. In the case it isn’t, you can run it through another cycle. That would only happen if you pack the device too tight. You should get consistent and smooth hits the entire time. If it’s too harsh, turn the heat settings down, and that should fix the problem.

The last cartridge is the wax concentrate cartridge. You’ll unscrew the cap and place your concentrates in the cartridge up to the fill line and close it up. Then drop it in, and it’s ready to go. You can adjust the heat settings in the same fashion as the e-liquid. You should start on the lowest level and work your way up, so you don’t waste material, and it isn’t too harsh. Most people will use the lowest setting or the middle setting. As you’re aware if you’re using this cartridge, concentrates are very potent so proceed with caution as you’ll reach new highs with the use of this cartridge.

Full Series 3X Bodies

The V2 Pro Series 3 offers a lot of flexibility and is priced incredibly well compared to similar size devices. While there isn’t a comparable competitor for the 3-in-1 functionality, there are several key ones for dry herb. You’ll almost always pay as much, if not more, than the Series 3X for less features. That’s why we highly recommend this device. If you’re very price conscious, then check out the V2 Pro Series 3, but you’ll be missing some of the upgraded features. If you’re looking to share with friends, we highly recommend the V2 Pro Series 7 or V2 Pro Series 7X. They are a bigger version and offer greater capacity and power.

Prohibited In The 3rd Degree Vaporizer Review

Ever since the release of the Prohibited in the 5th Degree about a year ago, Prohibited and their advanced portable vaporizers have completely changed the world of THC vaping. While quickly approaching the launch of the well-awaited and much-hyped Prohibited in the 4th degree slimline pen, the hard-working, creative minds at Prohibited are already hard at work on their next innovation the Prohibited in the 3rd Degree two-in-one vaporizer. Like the 5th degree, the 4th and 3rd have been engineered and optimized to offer an unparalleled vaping experience for dry-herbs and concentrates. They’ve designed the 3rd Degree as a premium high-end device, the 4th as an ultra-portable pen capable of excellent performance, and the 5th as a versatile all-around portable vaporizer. As a two-in-one vaporizer designed for cannabis vaping, support for e-liquids have been left out. However, the lack of e-liquid support has been more than made up for by the tremendous THC vaping experience available with the 3rd degree.

While not yet available to the general public, Prohibited gave us an early development unit to try out and review. For a device that’s still in development, the Prohibited in the 3rd Degree offers a premium build quality and delivers a high-end vaping experience that rivals the greatest portable vaporizers available. It features a beautiful OLED screen that displays necessary information such as the currently set temperature and remaining battery charge. The battery life is quite impressive given the sleek, compact form and dominant performance, delivering daylong use to even the heaviest of power users. As the new premium high-end model for the Prohibited line, it costs a bit more than the 4th and 5th Degree coming in at an expected MSRP of about $209.99, although this is a bargain considering the prices of similarly performing vaporizers made by competitors. The Prohibited in the 3rd Degree will debut in a variety of four colors including Bone (White), Singed (Black), Jade (Teal), and Struck (Purple) when it launches sometime near the holiday season of 2018.

The Prohibited in the 3rd Degree was built using lessons learned from previous models while implementing unique features of its own. A standout feature of this model in the Prohibited line is a first-in-the-series gorgeous touchscreen OLED color display. It also features smartphone connectivity over Bluetooth, allowing you to view and control every aspect of your device through an intuitive multi-menu app. There you can get an overview of more in-depth information such as the number of puffs taken and the currently set temperature, as well as have the ability to manually adjust the temperature and set the variable wattage and voltage. Of course, if you prefer you can change all these settings using the intuitive and straightforward buttons built directly into the device. You’re also going to be able to upgrade the device’s firmware over Bluetooth, extending your vaporizers performance and functionality.

Another welcomed change to the Prohibited line is support for interchangeable atomizers. This much-anticipated addition will help keep your vapor smooth and prolong the life of your device. This allows you to simply replace the atomizer as opposed to buying a whole new cartridge. They went back to the drawing board with their cartridges, opting for a rectangular form that boasts a spacious high-capacity chamber. This new spacious form alongside the interchangeable atomizers gives the unit box mod-like performance and customization while delivering daylong performance for everyone ranging from the Bambi vaper to power users.

Prohibited 3rd Degree Device

Your complete Prohibited in the 3rd Degree kit comes with the vaporizer itself, one dry-herb cartridge, one concentrates cartridge, a grinder with a kief collector, a micro USB charging cable/wall adapter, a maintenance kit to extend the life of your device, and a user manual to help you started. Magnetic design has been implemented throughout the device, allowing quick and easy swapping of cartridges and safe charger detachment in the event of sudden tension on the cable. This feature is a godsend for me personally as I’ve damaged plenty of vaporizers and various electronics over the years by accidentally tripping on the wire, sending my devices plummeting to the ground as I hopelessly try to save them. In the event of any accidental breakage, Prohibited does include a lifetime limited warranty with your purchase to help give you some comfort and peace of mind.

Instead of treating it as a tacked-on afterthought like some companies, Prohibited gave special attention to the dry-herb cartridge. This spacious chamber boasts the capacity of what used to take several separate repacks of the 5th degree. All while operating very efficiently considering the massive gains in performance. Thanks to the adjustable temperature control alongside the variable voltage and wattage, the 3rd degree allows you to fine-tune and customize every aspect of your vaping experience. The spacious cartridge chambers, massive gains in performance, and unrivaled control offered by the Prohibited in the 3rd degree culminate in a potent and efficient method for enjoying your dry-herb blend. Plus, you can always save your leftover vaped weed to reuse later. Either to cook with or even used as a filler when rolling up.

Prohibited 3rd Degree Cartridges

Plenty of care and attention went into the concentrates cartridge as well. The 3rd Degree offers ones of the most massive chambers for concentrates we’ve ever seen in a portable device, delivering daylong performance to even the heaviest of power-user enthusiasts. It’s incredibly convenient, being able to load up a full day worth of dabs in a single cartridge instead of having to fumble around with swapping out replacements or refilling the chamber. While the concentrates cartridge does draw more power than the dry-herb cartridge, the actual drop in battery life is negligible at worst. I personally recommend vaping concentrates such as wax and oils as they deliver one the purest and most efficient methods for ingesting THC. While having a higher upfront investment, they provide a more potent high that requires less material to achieve the same desired effect. The lighter odor produced by the vapor is also great for the enthusiast on the go.

Prohibited 3rd Degree Kit

The Prohibited in the 3rd Degree vaporizer delivers one of the most exceptional vaping experiences and one of the highest quality devices to ever grace the market. The only real downside to this vaporizer is the fact it’s not yet available to the public for you to experience the joy I’ve experienced while preparing this review. The 3rd degree represents a leap forward for the Prohibited Line, showcasing a culmination of their previous achievements and also showing off several new innovations. The 3rd Degree offers a better battery life and larger chamber capacity over earlier iterations while featuring a robust feature set packed into a beautiful, durably built, box. Their new premium flagship model should be expected to cost about $209.99 when it launches at some point before the Holidays of 2018. Users looking for lower-cost alternatives that deliver similar performance should consider the 4th or 5th degree, with the 4th representing the greatest in stealthy THC vaping on the go, and the 5th being a high-quality, versatile vaporizer for a lower price. Be sure to check back when it drops, as we may have a coupon code available for some incredible savings.

Prohibited In The 4th Degree Vaporizer Review

The creators of the Prohibited in the 5th Degree, the critical and consumer darling of the THC vaping world, refuse to rest on their laurels and continue to push the boundaries of innovation with the sequel to their flagship, the Prohibited in the 4th Degree vape pen. Redesigned with the ultimate in portability in mind, the 4th degree delivers one of the most powerful yet stealthiest vaporizers we’ve encountered. Like its successor, the 4th degree has been optimized exclusively for use with cannabis, offering some of the greatest dry-herb and concentrate vaping around while excluding support for e-liquids. If you are a dual e-liquid and cannabis vaping enthusiast, V2 makes some incredible 3-in-1 devices for you to consider, but if you’re looking for the greatest in THC vaping there is simply no rival for the Prohibited line of vaporizers.

While not set to launch until later this year, we’ve managed to get our hands on an early development unit to see if the 4th degree can live up to the hype and expectations laid out by its predecessor. Given the performance delivered by the prototype I’ve been using for the last couple of weeks, the 4th degree is set to shatter those expectations and create a litany of new ones for its inevitable successor. This vaporizer delivers dominant performance that rivals the 5th degree all in a compact and slimline design that offers one of the most exceptional experiences in cannabis vaping we’ve ever seen. The Prohibited in the 4th Degree is set to debut in a variety of four colors including Singed (Black), Bone (White), Struck (Purple), and Jade (Teal) and should cost about $99 when it launches at some point before the Holidays of 2018.

The complete Prohibited in the 4th Degree kit features your vaporizer, one concentrate cartridge, one dry-herb cartridge, a micro USB charging cable/wall adapter, cleaning tools for simple maintenance, and a user manual to help you get up and running. They’ve revamped their chipset and overhauled the feature set, with rapid heating of the ceramic element and fast charging, so you’re never without your device. For a smaller vaporizer the 4th degree offers very impressive battery life, while intelligent power management and automatic cartridge detection ensure you’re only using as much power as needed. A magnetic design has been incorporated throughout the device, allowing for quick swapping of cartridges and safe detachment of the charger in the event of any sudden tension on the cable. In the event of any incidental damage, Prohibited includes a limited lifetime warranty to help give you peace of mind with your investment.

4th Degree Dry Herb Cartridge

The dry-herb cartridge offers the capacity of a standard bowl-pack, so if you’re planning on vaping on the go all day, you may want to carry a couple of extra cartridges on you, so you don’t need to fumble with refilling in public. The Prohibited in the 4th degree offers three distinct temperature settings including 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees Fahrenheit), 215 degrees Celsius (420 degrees Fahrenheit), and 230 degrees Celsius (450 degrees Fahrenheit) allowing you to fine-tune your vaping experience. A fully-charged battery delivers solid daylong performance, just be sure you have a method for refilling or swapping cartridges on the go if you’re trying to remain inconspicuous. Also be sure to save your vaped weed to cook edibles with, or use them as a filler when rolling up. It’s always great to have in extra desperate times.

Prohibited 4th Degree Vaporizer Concentrates

The concentrates cartridge delivers remarkable performance regardless if you’re using oils, waxes, or shatter. The ceramic heating element is a godsend here as the lack of delicate coils makes cleanup a breeze with stickier concentrates. The concentrates cartridge heats to about 500 degrees Celsius (nearly 1000 degrees Fahrenheit!), so the battery doesn’t last quite as long as when using the dry-herb cartridge, but that should be obvious considering it’s running at nearly double the temperature. While having a smaller capacity chamber than the 5th degree and other portable vaporizers, it can efficiently deliver outstanding daylong capability to pretty much everyone except the heaviest of power-user enthusiasts. Few pens are capable of providing the exceptional performance in the compact form offered by the 4th degree.

The Prohibited in the 4th Degree vaporizer delivers some of the greatest dry-herb and concentrates vaping we’ve seen in such a compact device. The battery and chamber capacity should provide extraordinary daylong performance to all but the heaviest of users. If you’re a power-user or simply tend to share frequently, you may want to consider the original Prohibited in the 5th degree vaporizer which offers a higher-capacity chamber and a longer-lasting battery. However, enthusiasts who value an incredible inconspicuous vaping experience on the go need look no further than the Prohibited in the 4th degree pen. Be sure to check back when the pen debuts, as we may have a special discount code available for our readers so you can get an even better deal than the already low $99 launch price.

Magic-Flight Launch Box Review

The Magic Flight Launch Box is a completely unique spin on a portable vaporizer. It is one of a kind with an unforgettable design that really stands out from competitors. It is actually a small wooden box and there are four holes. Even though the design looks really simplistic, it is extremely effective and it is made with quality materials that hold up well with frequent use.

The Magic Flight Launch Box is powered with rechargeable AA batteries. It is small enough to fit in your pocket, but it provides huge clouds of vapor. When I first tried this device, I was surprised at how easy it was to set it up and start vaping. You just insert the battery and add your dry herbs to the trench. You can use it with or without the mouthpiece depending on your preference. It fills up with vapor in a matter of seconds and then you can inhale directly from the front of the device or you can use the mouthpiece.

To get the best performance from the Launch Box, you should use finely ground herbs. It won’t work as well with really moist herbs or large pieces. A good finishing grinder comes in handy if you use the launch box on a regular basis. Once you are finished vaping, make sure you clean the device really well by wiping down the screen and removing any leftover herbs.

After using the launch box for a while, I found that it is really one of my favorite portable vaporizers. It works well in practically any environment. Even if you are outdoors and it’s really windy, you can still get a good vape. A little bit of dry herb will go a long way with this device so it’s really a great way to stretch your favorite blends and make them last.

The only real downside of the launch box is that it can dry your lips out if you aren’t using a mouthpiece. When you press your mouth on the pine box over and over, they get dry. But if you use chapstick, the hole is slimy. The good news is that the launch box comes with a straw that you place in the hole. It helps you eliminate dry lips and makes it more conducive to sharing.

Another important thing to note is that you have to hold the battery constantly while using the launch box. It acts like a power switch. When you push on the battery, the pressure causes it to make contact and turn the vaporizer on. If you aren’t pushing the battery, you get no vapor. It’s an easy mistake to make, but once you get the hang of vaping with the launch box, you won’t even notice the difference.

Pax by Ploom Review

Sometimes a desktop vaporizer just isn’t convenient, but you don’t want to sacrifice performance just for the sake of portability. That’s when the Pax by Ploom comes in handy. This vaporizer is small enough to fit in your pocket and more affordable than the large desktop models. After testing a ton of portable vaporizers, the Pax is still one of my favorites!

The first thing I noticed about the Pax is the size. It is really compact at only about 4 inches long, but the design is really sleek and it’s made to be durable. The overall design is really intuitive with a magnetized lid on the bottom that covers your heating element and keeps your herbs in place. On the top, the mouthpiece pops out and automatically activates the heating element. To get the best results, you want to use finely ground herbs and pack them down into the bowl on the bottom on the unit. After you load in your dry herbs, just press on the mouthpiece to activate the vaporizer. The star-shaped light will glow purple while it heats up and then after around 30 seconds, it will change to green, indicating that the Pax is ready to vape.

Ploom designed the Pax to give you power to adjust the temperature. Just pull the mouthpiece off and there is a lighted button that controls the temperature settings. Just press the button to cycle to a different mode. You can choose from low, medium, or high heat. Experiment with the different settings to find the best option for your blend of herbs. I keep mine on the highest level only and it never really gets hot to the touch, at least the part you hold doesn’t. Perhaps the bottom of the oven may get hot, but it’s usually contained within the oven chamber.

Another cool component of the Pax design is the built in motion sensor that recognizes when you set the vaporizer down. When you put it down, the Pax automatically lowers the heat level, but when you pick it back up, the heating element will instantly kick back into gear and get hot again within seconds. The motion sensor also makes it easy to check your battery level. Just shake the unit and the indicator light will blink green to show that it is charged or red to show that it’s running low. Each time you charge the battery, it should last most of the day.

The big advantage to the Pax is the small size and discreet design. You don’t need to worry about any cartridges or e-liquids. Just insert your dry herbs and you are ready to start vaping. Keeping it clean is simple thanks to Ploom’s design and screens that are easy to replace.

One big difference between the Pax and other portable vaporizers is the actual vapor. While it doesn’t produce smoke, you do get clouds of vapor but they aren’t massive. On one hand, this could be a huge benefit because it makes it more discreet. On the other hand, it eliminates the experience of blowing out a gigantic cloud of vapor that many vapers enjoy. It offers a low profile vape, which I personally think is a big plus!

Volcano Vaporizer Classic Review

If you really want a top of the line desktop vaporizer, you can’t go wrong with the Volcano. There are dozens of other knock offs that might be cheaper, but none of them can come close in terms of performance and overall durability. If you want the Porsche of vaping, this is it.

The Volcano vaporizer provides dense, potent vapor that is easily controlled by manipulating your herbs. If you use finely ground herb and pack it well, you will get amazing thick vapor that is unlike anything you have ever experienced. While this model has been around for a while, it still is a fan favorite and one that I personally use on a regular basis. Even after years of regular use, it performs like it did the day I took it out of the box. However, I have worked hard to maintain it well and that brings us to the next big perk of the Volcano… it’s very easy to clean! You just brush out the herb chamber when you are a finished vaping and you’re done. There is no residue build up and no complicated cleaning routine as long as you stay on top of it and clean it well after each use. That really makes the difference in how long any vaporizer will last.

You can get the Volcano in a classic or digital design. If you opt for the digital, there is a digital gauge on the front that you use to control the temperature. On the classic model, there is just a simple dial. So which one is better? Well, they both perform great, but the digital Volcano does seem to have more consistent temperatures with less fluctuation.

When you order the Volcano, you will have to choose between the Easy Valve or the Solid Valve styles. I prefer the Easy Valve, but it’s really a matter of preference. If you opt for the Easy Valve model, the balloons are already assembled and the herb chamber comes in two pieces. The kit has five balloons and each one will last around 4 months. After that, you just order replacement balloons as needed. The Solid Valve style is a little more complicated, but you can customize your balloons to the size you want. It’s not really a feature that I think is important because the Easy Valve balloons are already designed at the right size for a powerful vape. However, if you prefer a different balloon size, then you have that option with the Solid Valve style.

Some people are turned off by the high price tag on the Volcano, but it’s really worth the extra money. It’s kind of like buying a car… that old Volkswagen might get you where you want to go, but the Porsche will do it faster and you will look way cooler in the process. That’s why we call the Volcano the Porsche of vaporizers. I love that the Volcano is designed with extreme attention to detail. Each unit is built by hand and it is truly a beautiful model that you will want to proudly display on your desk rather than hiding it in the closet or drawer.

Vaping with the Volcano is really simple. Just pack your herb into the chamber and then set your temperature. Attach a balloon on top of the heating chamber and wait for about 30 seconds while it fills up with vapor. Then attach your mouthpiece and you are ready to vape. It’s really that simple.

VipVape Pdab Review

The vaporizer market has been flooded with vape pens over the past few years, but very few of them are powerful enough to really get me excited. But I recently had a chance to try to the VipVape Pdab and it was simply incredible. Unlike a lot of the cheaply made vapes I’ve tried in the past, this one gives you a lot of customization options. It has a variable voltage battery and 510 threading so you can use it with all your usual accessories. With the ability to tweak the temperature settings, I was quickly able to achieve the perfect amount of vapor from every puff.

If you’ve used variable voltage devices in the past, you already know that they tend to give better performance. But the VipVape Pdab went above and beyond with consistently powerful performance. I tried it at a variety of voltage settings and the vapor was strong and tasted great each time.

This vape pen is made to last with a sturdy ceramic core instead of the usual thread wick design. It has a titanium coil that offers powerful vapor production and consistent heating. Plus, I found that it was really simple to load my oil or wax into the chamber because I could just dab them down the sides instead of trying to directly hit the coils, which are located in the bottom of the chamber. It was so much easier to load than most vape pens I’ve tried in the past and because of that, I use this model regularly.

Another huge bonus is that the VipVape Pdab comes with a one year battery warranty. Plus if your atomizer goes bad, they have replacements available online. All things considered, you just have to try the Pdab. With variable voltage, thick vapor, and a large loading chamber, it’s a winning choice when you need a new vape pen.

VapeBrothers Dabbler Review

If you haven’t heard of the VapeBrothers Dabbler yet, you must be new to vaping because this vape pen has quickly become a fan favorite. I had to give it a try after reading all the hype about it online and I was actually really impressed with its performance. It arrived in a nice, padded case and it included the stainless steel heating chamber, mouthpiece, battery, a USB charger, and a glass pick. The battery came partially charged so I instantly put it together and gave it a try.

The Dabbler is really comfortable to hold and it’s super lightweight at only around half a pound. But even though it’s light, it’s still plenty sturdy. The wick seemed to be great quality and the coil was tightly wound, which I liked. You can really tell a difference in the overall quality when you start to look at the individuals components. Maybe it’s got something to do with the fact that it was made in the United States, but the sturdy construction really impressed me from the start.

One of the first things I loved about this vape pen is that it is self-cleaning. If you have ever tried to clean out the sticky residue left behind in a tiny vape pen, you know what a headache that can be. But the Dabbler basically cleans itself so you won’t have to worry about that anymore.

In terms of performance, I would use one word to describe the Dabbler: consistent. From the first hit to the last, it has powerful performance and good steady vapor production with no funky aftertaste. The mouthpiece was really comfortable and after using the Dabbler, I realized that some of my other mouthpieces were not nearly as comfortable.

Another huge perk of the Dabbler is that you can take off the mouthpiece and use it with a ground glass connection for a bong or bubbler. This opens up a lot of customization from one little vape pen and I think VapeBrothers was really smart in giving people that option. I also liked that the Dabbler comes with a one year warranty on the battery. That’s pretty rare for vape pens and it’s definitely a smart move if you want a vaporizer pen that will last for a long time.

Ultimately, the VapeBrothers Dabbler is one of my favorite vape pens that I have ever tried. From the heavy vapor production to the customization options, this one was a win from start to finish. The only downside I found was that you can only use a tiny dab of wax at a time – hence the name Dabbler. While I would personally like a little more room for wax in my vape pen, it was still highly satisfying and I now use it regularly and recommend it to all my friends.

Plenty Vaporizer Review

If you are looking for a new desktop vaporizer, check out the new Plenty. It ranks with some of the best in the market and I would group it in with classics like the Volcano and the much loved Herbalizer. The Plenty vaporizer makes functionality the highest priority and it has an extra-wide chamber to hold lots of herbs for your vaping enjoyment. Whether you fill it with a little or a lot, it performs to peak standards and gives you a nice, clean vape from start to finish.

My favorite feature from the Plenty is the cooling coil that is located between the mouthpiece and the herb chamber. It cools down the vapor just enough to enhance the flavors and make it more comfortable to inhale. I don’t always like warm vapor because it tends to make me cough and irritate my throat, so that cooling coil really made all the difference for me. I also really liked the oversized herb chamber. It’s larger than the chamber in the Volcano and that extra space gives you better vapor production.

The Plenty offers dense vapor with good, strong draws. While it does take a few minutes to reach peak temperatures, it wasn’t so long that it was bothersome. It was pretty intuitive to use, but I had to experiment just a little to figure out the setting that would give me the best performance. The temperature does tend to fluctuate a little during use, but I didn’t notice any change in the performance as a result.

Some people might be turned off to the Plenty at first glance because it does look a little weird. In some ways, it resembles a power tool more than a desktop vaporizer, but what it lacks in aesthetics, it makes up three fold in performance. If you want a powerful vaporizer that is more affordable than the Volcano, this is probably a great fit for you.

Herbalizer Desktop Vaporizer

For as long as I can remember, Volcano has been the brand to beat in the world in the world of desktop vaporizers. Nothing else has ever come close to the quality of the Volcano… until now. The new Herbalizer was designed by former NASA engineers and it is truly incredible. It is an all-in-one desktop vaping system with dual functionality so you can use it for vaping or for aromatherapy.

The Herbalizer offers plenty of options. You can use it with herbs, concentrates, or essential oils. While the heating element is extremely powerful, the fan is whisper quiet so it doesn’t sound like you are launching a rocket every time you sit down for a vape. The design is sleek and attractive so you won’t feel uncomfortable if someone pops over for a visit and it’s sitting out on the coffee table.

This is one of the best American-made vaporizers and it has a modern design that is almost futuristic. It’s super lightweight at only two pounds and it’s compact enough to stick in a drawer when not in use. The lid flips up to show the control panel and the herb chamber and the whip stays in place when you wrap it along the outside edge. There is even a separate compartment in the lid where you can stash your supplies. I love that it makes it possible to keep all your vaping gear in one compact place so you are never stuck looking around for your oils and concentrates and you are always ready to start vaping whenever the urge hits.

I was really impressed with the heating element in the Herbalizer! It only takes five seconds for it to heat to 380 degress. Incredible, right? The control panel is easy to use and it didn’t take me long to figure out all the functions. It automatically boots up when you open the lid and then you can select whether you want to use the Herbalizer for vaping or aromatherapy. Then the unit will instantly heat to the correct temperature. If you are using it for aromatherapy, it even lets you set a timer and fan speed so you can turn it on and leave it with no more worries about turning it off later.

When you use the Herbalizer to vape, you can set the heat at the temperature you like best with options ranging from 290 to 445 degrees. You can also set the fan on or off. You can use this vaporizer with whips or bags and I tried both, but found the bags to be the best option. I was surprised to see the bags would fill in under 20 seconds and each one holds two liters of vapor! If you’re a newbie, that’s a lot! Each bowl can fill two whole bags.

The only real downside I found was the upper lid covering the storage compartment. It seemed to be a little flimsy. Since this unit is pretty expensive, I would love to see that aspect redesigned to give it a sturdier feel.

All things considered, I actually thing the Herbalizer is worth the high price tag. It comes with a 5-year quality guarantee and a two year limited warranty. The designers claim that the bulb will last for 20 years so you are really making a long-term purchase with this unit. If you are tired of settling for mediocre desktop vapes, then give the Herbalizer a try. It’s an investment that you will really enjoy for a long time.

HerbalAire Vaporizer Review

The HerbalAire vaporizer is not only beautiful, but it offers powerful performance and plenty of options for the experienced vaper. This is a desktop unit that was designed in Canada and it can be used with balloons or whips to get the perfect vaping experience. I absolutely loved the look of the HerbalAire with its sleek design. In fact, I don’t mind leaving it out on my desk even when I have people over.

This vaporizer is made with a unique design because the fans inside power the vapor out through the balloon or whip. The fans only come on when you are filling a balloon or inhaling from the whip so you aren’t wasting energy or burning up the fan during dead time between puffs. The design is really user-friendly and the outer shell is created from a Teflon material to keep it from getting hot to the touch even when the wire-heating element reaches scorching temperatures.

The HerbalAire has an automatic shut off feature, which is a nice bonus for safety. You turn it on by simply turning the nob and you also use the same little nob to control the temperature. It’s pretty straight forward to use! The built in climate control feature keeps your heat regulated at the temperature you desire with very little fluctuations. Even if you are vaping in a freezing cold room, this vaporizer will stay at the temperature you set it because it is so well made.

When you buy the HerbalAire, it comes with all the basics but you have to purchase attachments separately. I thought it was perfect just as it arrived, but if you like the option of using other attachments, they are always available. This vaporizer is simple enough that even beginning vapers can handle it, but it performs well enough to keep you satisfied even if you have been vaping for a while.

One of my favorite things about this particular model is the chamber. It can be easily removed so clean up is so much easier! If you have used many desktop vaporizers in the past, you know that it can be really difficult to get them clean after use, but the HerbalAire makes it way easier with a removable chamber.

In terms of price, this one is middle of the road for a desktop unit at around $250. I think it’s well worth every dime because you get a well-designed vaporizer with stellar vapor production. Plus it’s so intuitive that anyone can use it. This would be one of my top choices for a desktop vaporizer for beginners, but I think even seasoned vapers will be more than satisfied with the HerbalAire.

Dr. Dabber Ghost Vaporizer Review

Vape pens are a dime a dozen these days, but if you want a vaporizer that is made with quality in mind, check out the Dr. Dabber Ghost pen. It is very reasonably priced and the kit comes fully stocked with all the goods you need to start vaping right away.

There are several features that make the Ghost pen way better than a lot of the typical vape pens we see. One of the things that impressed me most was the ceramic heating chamber. Having ceramic means that you get clean flavors and the vapor is super smooth with each hit. Another big difference is the wick. When you buy a typical vape pen, it will have a cotton wick that can be a beast to change out and they just don’t last very long. But the Dr. Dabber Ghost pen was designed for convenience and it has a center wick made from glass fiber. You won’t have to replace it nearly as often and it burns cleaner.

Even the coils are made to a higher standard with heat-resistant titanium. Plus the coils are located in the bottom of the chamber so you can fit more concentrate inside and the heat is distributed more evenly for a better overall vaping experience.

A lot of vape pens don’t give you the option of using attachments, but the Ghost pen allows you that possibility with the custom glass dome option. After giving it a try, I have to say that the dome is a must-have because it gives you a good look at just how much vapor this little pen can churn out. Plus the dome offers an incredible hit that is unlike anything I’ve ever gotten from a pen in the past.

I only spotted one drawback to the Ghost pen and that was the plastic mouthpiece. It wasn’t a big deal, but some people really don’t like plastic mouthpieces because they claim it affects the flavor. I couldn’t tell much difference, but if you don’t like plastic mouthpieces, this could be a small issue.

Ultimately, I think this vaporizer pen is one of the best out there. I was really impressed with how easy it was to clean and I liked the quality design of the ceramic heating chamber. It’s a sweet deal at less than a hundred dollars and because it is made with quality materials, it will last for months and months of vaping. If you are tired of dealing with changing out cotton wicks and you want to move on up to something with better quality, then you must try the Dr. Dabber Ghost pen. You won’t be disappointed!

Hot Box Whip-Style Vaporizer Review

Most of today’s popular desktop vaporizers are pretty complicated and have huge control panels that can be intimidating for new vapers. But the Hot Box is different. It’s very simple and intuitive without all the bells and whistles that make other models complicated. It turns on and off with a single switch and best of all, it’s really affordable so you can start using a desktop vaporizer without spending a ton of money in the process.

I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting a lot from this vaporizer when I first looked at it. The Hot Box is much less expensive and it seemed almost too simple when I took it out of the box. But after I tried it, I changed my mind and decided that it’s actually a great option. The design is sturdy and actually pretty trendy and modern looking. I though the chrome heating component added to the experience and gave me a cleaner taste. Even if you are new to vaping with a whip, you will get the hang of it really quickly using the Hot Box.

Of course, there are a few drawbacks to such a simple design. The thing that really bothered me most was that it takes quite a while to heat up. It usually took about ten minutes to reach the temperature needed to start vaping. While that’s not terrible, it’s still quite a bit more than some higher end units that can heat up in under a minute. I also felt like the whip was a little stiff. It didn’t seem to make any difference in performance, but it wasn’t quite as comfortable as some of the whips I’ve tried with other units.

Another drawback is the one-dial design. While I loved the simplicity, I didn’t like that I had no control over the temperature. It’s not very customizable and the casing got really hot after I vaped for a while. After several uses, I found myself really wishing I could tweak the temperature just a little.

All things considered, I still recommend the Hot Box if you want a whip style vaporizer that is simple and easy to use. It’s affordably priced and offers a pretty good overall performance. While it’s not in the same ball park as the Volcano or Herbalizer, it is still satisfying and will be the perfect choice for vapers on a tight budget.

DaVinci Ascent Review

The DaVinci Ascent is a cutting edge portable vaporizer that makes it possible to use nicotine oils and concentrates without clogging up your equipment. It works well for dry herbs or oils so you can use this multipurpose unit for all your vaping needs! We’ve found that most portable vaporizers are designed to use with either herbs or oils, but this model lets you use either one. It’s almost like buying two different products at once so even though it is one of the more expensive portable vaporizers, you really get your money’s worth in terms of use.

From the moment I received my Ascent, I was impressed with the overall design. It is stylish and sleek and I love the glass mouthpiece that pulls out like a straw. This model also has a glass vapor path, which is common for desktop vaporizers but really rare in the portable versions. That is definitely a big bonus because the glass components really let flavor shine through. Ascent also steps up their design with a digital display that allows you to adjust the temperature with precision. The three-button controls are easy to use and it really looks cool in hand. It’s about the size and weight of your typical electric razor. It feels a little heavier than expected, but that’s really not a problem because it is ultra durable.

When I first tried out the Ascent, I was a little surprised by the level of vapor it produced. It was really dense and powerful from the first draw. It heats up quickly and maintains a consistent temperature from start to finish. My favorite thing about this vaporizer is the versatility. It works well for pretty much any vaping enthusiast, whether you are a beginner or more advanced.

The only real downside is that it does need regular maintenance, especially if you are using oils or waxes that get sticky. While the Ascent comes with rubber vial covers that are meant to prevent your hot oils from traveling up the vapor pathway, I found that it doesn’t work 100 percent of the time. As a result, you can end up with a jammed unit and a bunch of sticky resin to clean up after vaping. The good news is that the damage is reversible. Just do a quick warm up to around 120 degrees and it will loosen up the residue and make it pretty easy to clean up with some cotton swabs and rubbing alcohol. If you are using oils and waxes, make sure you clean it thoroughly after every single use. If you are using the Ascent with dry herbs, you can probably get away with less frequent cleaning.

Arizer Solo Review

The Arizer Solo is one of the most popular portable vaporizers on the market today. With long battery life and a simple, intuitive design, it is really a great vaporizer to use when you prefer not to be tethered to desktop unit. The Arizer Solo has a few unique characteristics and it does take a little time learn to use it properly, it provides an awesome vape once you master it.

At first glance, this model is small and attractive. I expected it to be really lightweight, but it’s actually kind of heavy and definitely solid enough to be durable. If you are accident prone, the Solo will be a good choice. Even if you accidentally drop it, you can probably still vape without much noticeable damage. While there are some glass pieces, they can easily be replaced if they did crack.

The Solo is easy to load, but the bowl is small so you have to be careful not to spill your dry herbs if they are really fine. Once it is loaded, it heats up quickly and you can start vaping. This is where things get a little complicated. The Solo definitely has a lot of resistance. It’s kind of like trying to drink a really thick milkshake through a straw. If you drag too hard, the vapor isn’t great. So the best method is to take long, gentle pulls and then your vapor will be perfect.

One of the biggest perks to the Arizer Solo is the multiple heat settings. You can actually choose between 7 different heat levels. At level one, the vaporizer heats to around 122 degrees and at level 7, it heats to 410 degrees. The higher the setting, the longer it takes to heat up, but even at level 7, it only takes about two and a half minutes. No matter which heat setting you use, it has an automatic shut off switch so you can conserve battery life between uses. After 12 minutes of no use, the Solo automatically shuts off. When you want to turn it back on, just press the downward arrow for a few seconds and it will instantly reheat to the same setting.

I really loved that the Solo requires very little maintenance. When you are finished vaping, just turn it upside down and take out the stem. Clean out any leftover dry herbs and then cover up the heating element until you are ready to use it again.

Iolite Original Review

If you are shopping for a portable vaporizer that is powerful and affordable, the Iolite Original is a good choice. It looks similar to a handheld radio, but it’s actually a vaporizer that you can carry around without drawing a lot of attention. This vaporizer is really unique because it’s powered by butane. If you don’t want to deal with the hassle of charging up batteries or plugging your vaporizer into a wall outlet, you might want to explore this option. Butane is easy to find at any convenience store.

This device is extremely durable and as long as you clean it properly, it holds up well for daily use. I found that it heats up quickly and has just a slight hissing noise while in use. It’s quiet enough that someone in the next room won’t be able to hear it. It produces consistently large clouds of vapor, but my favorite thing about the Iolite is the way the taste of your dry herbs really shines. I could detect the subtle differences in flavors that often go unnoticed with some lower end vaporizers.

If the butane component scares you, there is no need to worry! The main benefit of butane is that you are not dependent on electricity so your vaporizer is really portable. It’s perfect for camping! I found that with each butane fill, I could vape around six times with each vaping session lasting around 15 minutes. So basically, you can expect an hour and a half of vape time for each butane refill. To fill the Iolite, you just hold the butane upside down and fit the nozzle onto the end of the fill valve. Push down and the butane will flow down into the chamber. You will hear or see the gas starting to overflow when it gets full. Be ready because it only takes a few seconds! After you fill it up, let it rest for a few minutes before you start vaping. This is the perfect time to get your dry herbs prepared and packed in the chamber.

Once your herbs are in the chamber and the butane has settled for a few minutes, it’s time to start vaping. Flip the side switch from 0 to 1 to give it some gas. Then push the igniter switch. You might have to hit the switch a few times before it actually ignites, but once it is going, your heating element will be ready within about 45 seconds. As you vape, the Iolite will automatically engage the heater intermittently to hold a consistent temperature. When the heater is going, it makes that little hissing sounds and the noise stops when the heater stops. It will go on and off as you vape, but that is normal. This is how the Iolite regulates your temperature.

Overall, the Iolite performs well. Dealing with Butane isn’t something that I prefer on a daily basis, but it’s definitely a handy vaporizer to keep for camping or times when you don’t have access to electricity. I did notice the smell of Butane a few times while vaping, but I never tasted it. If the smell of gas bothers you, that aspect could potentially be a huge turn off.

Grenco Science Micro G Review

Grenco Science has a lot of loyal fans for their original G-Pen vaporizer, but now they are offering a smaller option called the microG. They describe this new option as “micro in size, yet monumental in capability”. We had high expectations for this product, but did it really deliver in performance? Well, sort of.

The overall design of the microG is attractive and sleek. The affordable price tag makes it even more appealing! The microG kit includes everything you need for routine vaping: 2 batteries, 2 tanks, 2 mouthpieces, 5 mouth sleeves, 2 oil containers, a packing tool, and the charging pack. I liked the simple design that is easy to assemble and refill. The battery charges in around 90 minutes and lasts for a full day with frequent use. Overall this vaporizer is lightweight and easy to hold. It is about four inches long and fits easily in your hand.

Set up is pretty basic. After your battery is charged and screwed into place, just add your nicotine oil on top of the screen and screw on the mouthpiece. Make sure all of your pieces are completely secure and then push the power button five times to turn it on. The button will flash blue to let you know that it is on. Then hold the button down to activate the heating element. The coil will heat for 15 seconds before it automatically shuts off. If you want to continue to inhale, you will have to press the button again at that point.

After using the microG several times, I felt like it was basic enough for even a first time vaper. A tiny bit of wax or oil will go a long way and produce huge clouds of vapor. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to vaporize all of the oil and so residue builds up quickly if you don’t clean it carefully.

While you are vaping, the oil is heated up and turns to a thin liquid. So when you finish vaping and place it back in your pocket or lay it down flat, any leftover liquid will spread out into the mouthpiece or leak over the side. If it accidentally comes apart in your pocket, this creates a nasty mess! Any leftover oil that remains in the bowl is reheated the next time you use the pen. It sounds like you are getting more use from your oil, but you are actually just slowly cooking old oil and that can lead to a horrific smell and it can ruin the taste of the new oils you insert in the vaporizer. So what’s the solution? You have to clean the microG meticulously after every single use.

When it comes to performance, the microG was impressive. The vapor was thick and satisfying and it seemed to progressively get better each time you inhale. By the third or fourth draw, it was perfect and smooth.

Atmos Junior Vaporizer Review

Atmos is an industry leader for pen style vaporizers. The Atmos Raw is definitely a fan favorite, but they also have a newer option called the Atmos Junior. This vaporizer is super small and completely discreet at only around 4 inches long. By shrinking down the popular design of the Atmos Raw, the new Junior version is perfect to carry around in your pocket or slip into your purse.

In the Atmos Junior, the heating chamber is around half the size of the Raw. The coil is the same size and shape so you still get the powerful performance, even in a tinier design. This model offers a huge benefit to those that prefer to use nicotine wax instead of dry herbs. You can still use the dry herbs in the Junior, but it will only hold a tiny pinch so you can expect around half a dozen draws from each fill. If you like using wax, you will love this vaporizer! Just dab a tiny bit of your nicotine wax on the coil and hold down the power button. Get ready because you are seconds away from massive vapor pulls!

While using wax requires more clean-up, I noticed that cleaning the vaporizer after using herbs was effortless. With a ceramic heating chamber, I found that my dry herbs burned clean so there really was no clean up needed. While a lot of the smaller pen vaporizers require little maintenance, this one was absolutely my favorite in terms of cleaning. If you hate doing clean up after vaping herbs, you will love the Atmos Junior.

Now let’s talk about performance. The vapor from the Atmos Junior is thick and satisfying, but I did find that it’s better to hold down the power button in 3-second intervals instead of pressing it for 5-7 seconds straight. The shorter intervals gave me the same thick clouds of vapor, but the taste was cleaner and the vapor was much smoother. Of course, the taste will heavily depend on what kind of herbs or waxes you use, but I found that I preferred the shorter 3-second intervals with every material I used.

Overall, the Atmos Junior is a great new addition to your vaping gear. I love the small size because it is portable and discreet. Most of all, I really like that the Junior gives me the same power as the Raw in a smaller package so it’s perfect for using nicotine waxes. If you are looking for a pen style vaporizer for dry herbs, I would recommend that you go with the Atmos Raw. However, if you want to use the wax, the Junior is far superior and easier to use.

Atmos Raw Review

The Atmos Raw is a pen style vaporizer that offers you a handheld, portable option that is easily carried during your busy day-to-day routine. This is a sleek model with an attractive design that is really discreet. Honestly, no one will notice that you have a vaporizer on your desk unless you tell them. It just looks like a funky pen! The kit comes fully loaded with everything you need to start vaping and a cleaning brush to make sure you keep your vaporizer is top working condition.

After using the Atmos Raw for a while, I was impressed with its overall performance. It’s really easy to use and set up is basic, even for a first time vaper. Just charge the battery and then screw on the heating chamber. Next, you drop in the glass screen and load it up with your dry herbs. Keep in mind that a little bit of dry herb goes a long way in this vaporizer so don’t overfill it. You definitely want to use less herb because overpacking will impact the ability for it to heat evenly and ultimately, you will get an inconsistent vape. Just go with the motto that less is more! I found that using extra fine herbs gave me the best vape. Once you have the herbs loaded, just screw on the mouthpiece and press the power button until the bottom lights up. Then it’s ready to vape!

The Atmos Raw heats up within 10 seconds and it has a built in shut off feature that keeps the temperature in a safe range. Before you use it, it’s important to fully charge the battery and that can take up to six hours. My battery came partially charged so it only took two hours for it to be ready to use. I found that a fully charged battery would last for about three days, or 50+ draws. Compared to a lot of other pen style vaporizers, that is really amazing!

Caring for this vaporizer is easy. The glass screen is the key that makes maintenance really simple! After each use, just disconnect the battery and use the cleaning brush included in your kit to remove any debris or built up residue on your screen. You can wipe down the mouthpiece with a moist paper towel.

White Rhino Trifecta Review

White Rhino is well known for their Dube vaporizer, but they also offer a pen-style called the Trifecta. It is a really versatile model that allows you to use nicotine oils, nicotine waxes, and dry herbs all in the same unit. It is both discreet and very easy to use with simple one-touch activation. It is small enough to fit in your pocket, but powerful enough to provide you with an awesome vape so this model is really a winner all the way around.

One of the big perks of the Trifecta is the robust loading cartridge. It’s easy to fill and works well with oils, waxes, and herbs. A lot of people complain that pen-styles don’t give you much vape time before you have to stop and refill, but if you use nicotine oils or wax rather than dry herb, it extends your vape time. That’s definitely a nice feature that is unique to the Trifecta.

After trying the Trifecta out a few times, I was really pleased with its performance. It heats up in under a minute and the produced strong vapor with a clean taste. This vaporizer is really durable and it holds up well for routine use. I also love that you can order it in three different colors: black, charcoal, or blue. The Trifecta comes with a 90-day warranty on the heating element and you can purchase an extended warranty, which is always a good idea. Paying a little extra for an extended warranty doesn’t cost much, but it can save you hundreds of dollars in the long run!

So what makes the Trifecta stand out from other pen style vaporizers? I think the versatility is what makes this model truly amazing. By giving you the option of using three different methods (oil, wax, or dry herbs), White Rhino definitely stepped up their game! I tried all three materials in my Trifecta and it the performance was stellar with all of them. Cleaning the chamber is really simple and the kit comes with the reloadable cartridges so it’s easy to set up and start vaping.

Considering the small size, this vaporizer really produces a huge amount of vapor. I loved the compact design and the portability. Sometimes it’s just not practical to take a huge vaporizer with you, but it’s really effortless to slip your Trifecta in your pocket or purse.

Vapir One V5.0 Review

The Vapir One is an affordable desktop vaporizer that offers a lot of versatility if you like to mix up your vaping style. It is one of the lower priced units at around $150, but it still offers good durability and performance with consistent vapor production and a nice smooth draw. You can use this model with bags or the whip, but I found that the whip seemed to provide the most potent vapor. I routinely rely on the whip when I’m using my Vapir One, but having the bag option is definitely an extra perk in case you ever want to use it.

While it isn’t the most attractive design I’ve ever seen, I love that the Vapir One is really lightweight and portable. If you need a vaporizer that is easy to pack up and take with you when you travel, this model is perfect. Considering the low price tag, I was surprised that this vaporizer has a great digital display to show you the temperature. It warms up quickly and there are colored lights to show you when it’s ready to start vaping.

The Vapir One comes with five herbal discs and they are reusable so you can vape your herbs of choice with no hassle. You can also buy a variety of accessories if you want to enhance the style and capabilities of this vaporizer, but I honestly thought it worked just fine without any extras. If you prefer to use the bags, it comes with five so they will be handy for parties or for vaping with friends.

Even though this model is lightweight and great for travel, it does require an electrical outlet. If you plan to use it in the car, you will have to buy an adapter kit. I really wish that it included a table stand, but you have to purchase that separately too. You don’t have to buy a table stand, but you will need a safe, hard tabletop to rest the Vapir on or just hold it in your hand while it’s warming up.

Even though I use the whip most of the time, I wish the bags were a little larger. On average, I can get about three good hits from a bag if it is fully inflated. Of course, it comes with five bags and you can order more if needed so it’s really not a big deal in the big scheme of things. If you prefer the whip, keep in mind that you have to remove the herb drawer in order to stop the unit from vaporizing. If you don’t eject the herb drawer right away, you could potentially waste some of your herbs. I also noticed that the unit gets really hot! Make sure you grab it by the handle and never by the body. The only other downside is the noise level. The fan is loud!

This vaporizer comes with a standard 90-day warranty, but there are some stipulations so make sure you read the fine print. You have to register your vaporizer to take advantage of the warranty so don’t forget to do that as soon as your Vapir One arrives!

Da Buddha Vaporizer Review

Made by 7th Floor, Da Buddha Vaporizer is a popular choice among seasoned vapers. You might know this company for their other popular model called the Silver Surfer. We like Da Buddha because it is more affordable than the Silver Surfer, but has similar parts and performance. It really offers the same awesome vaping experience without the customization options. However, you can still add cool accessories like glass knobs, wands, or mouth pieces if you want to set your vaporizer apart from others.

After taking Da Buddha for a test drive, I have to say that I was surprised by how well it performed! While I’ve been a big fan of the Volcano for years, Da Buddha provides a really satisfactory vape and the price tag makes it even more appealing. It is really a perfect solution for someone that wants a quality desktop vaporizer without dropping a ton of money on their first unit.

When my vaporizer arrived, it was packaged well with plenty of padding to protect the delicate glass pieces. My kit included the vaporizer, a great travel bag with lots of padding, 3 screens, tubing, a stir stick, and a wand. Setting up Da Buddha was really simple. Just plug it in and set your temperature. Give it a few minutes to heat up and then fill the wand with your herbs. Place the wand in the heat cover and then inhale through the mouthpiece. It’s really fool-proof, even if it’s your first time using a desktop vaporizer.

In terms of appearance, Da Buddha is attractive, but it isn’t flashy. The basic unit is silver, but you can upgrade to the black model for $20 more. It has a dial for adjusting the temperature and there is no digital screen. As a result, you might have to play with a little to figure out how to set it at the exact temperature you like best, but over all, it’s not a big problem and certainly not a deal breaker. If the dial worries you, just start by turning it on and slowly inch the dial up until the vapor production is at the level you prefer.

The only real downside to Da Buddha is the horizontal positioning of the herb chamber. You have to consciously keep your material flat so that your herbs don’t fall into the heating element. Some people prefer the Silver Surfer over Da Buddha because it has an angled heating element to prevent this problem. Overall though, it won’t ruin your vape as long as you pay attention while you are using it.

I found that this vaporizer has good consistent vapor production and a nice, clean taste. It draws smooth and works well for regular daily use. Thanks to the carrying case, I have packed up Da Buddha and taken it with me on road trips on several occasions.

Arizer Extreme Q Review

If you are looking for a desktop vaporizer with more versatility, the Arizer Extreme Q is a good choice. This model has a really attractive design with a tapered cylinder that rests on a glowing plate. On the front side, there is a digital display so you can easily monitor your temperature settings and see the actual temperature in real time. You can use the Arizer Extreme Q in several different ways. The unit comes with a bag attachment, a whip (long tube), and a bowl.

This vaporizer is really simple to set up and use. Just place your herb into the main bowl and then set it on the heating element. Next, attach the bag on top and turn it on. Set your temperature, turn on the fan, and inflate the bag. That’s it… you are ready to vape! The best part of the Arizer Extreme Q is the versatility. By using the bag, you get low-temperature vapor that is perfect for vaping with friends. But when you are vaping alone, you can just use the whip and avoid the hassle of using the big bag. It really gives you the best of both worlds.

Unfortunately, there is one big drawback to this unit. It has a lot of small glass pieces that could easily break. If you tend to be a clumsy vaper, you will need to be cautious with the Arizer Extreme Q. The good news is that Arizer offers a 3-year warranty so if you do drop a glass piece, you can have it replaced without much hassle.

When I first ordered this vaporizer, I thought it was a little strange that the unit comes with a remote control for setting the temperature and fan speed. Why do you need a remote if you will have to get up to inhale? Once I actually used this vaporizer, it made more sense. Because it takes a few minutes to heat up, you can switch it on with the remote and give it time to warm up before you go over to the unit and start vaping. So it turns out that the remote is actually a really great feature that sets Arizer Extreme Q apart from competitors!

When I took the Arizer Extreme Q for a test drive, I had pretty good results. It reached the temperature setting quickly and maintained it consistently. While I prefer the Volcano design that is easy to pass between friends, this model was still good. I just thought it was a little annoying that you had to hold your finger over the hole on the glass piece because it made sharing a tiny bit more complicated. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it was something that I definitely noticed.

The Arizer Extreme Q is really well made. It comes with a heavy duty power pack that plugs into a three prong outlet. There are also a lot of different accessories included when you first open it up. You get a remote control, two mouth pieces, two bowls, a nice stirring tool made from glass, extra screens, two balloons, a three-foot whip, and a potpourri dish. While it doesn’t come with a battery pack, you can purchase one separately for about $100. It isn’t really necessary unless you plan to take the vaporizer with you while camping.

One of my favorite things about this model is the noise level. Some vaporizers have loud fans, but the Arizer Extreme Q is very quiet even when you have the fan running on the highest setting. I also loved that you could tweak the temperature with ease and it reaches your set temperature within about 30 seconds.

While versatility is a huge benefit for this unit, it could also be considered a pitfall by more advanced vapers. It performs well with the balloon or the whip, but if you have one preferred method, you might find a different vaporizer that is more specifically designed around that style. All things considered, I think this model is a good starter option. It lets you try multiple vaping methods and then once you really know what you like best, you can purchase another vaporizer that is more advanced and specialized.

Silver Surfer Vaporizer Review

The Silver Surfer is a high quality desktop vaporizer made by 7th Floor. This company is also well known for Da Buddha vaporizer, but the Silver Surfer is a little more advanced. This model definitely provides a quality vape with thick clouds of vapor and a nice taste. It comes with a 3-year warranty on the electrical components and it seems to hold up well under routine use. The heating element is made from ceramic, but there are some glass parts that could break if you dropped it. However, the slanted design makes it hard to knock over, even if you are a little clumsy like me! Overall, the Silver Surfer is very durable and it won’t break easily.

After hearing several friends praise the Silver Surfer, I was eager to try it. From the moment it arrived, I was impressed. It came in a plain brown box so it’s totally discreet. When I opened up the box, the vaporizer itself was in a red hemp case that was surrounded by packing peanuts for extra protection.

Overall, the Silver Surfer is easy to set up and use. You just add your dry herbs to the wand and screw it into the heating element. Then it’s ready to vape. I felt like this model draws better flavor from my dry herbs than Da Buddha model, which was kind of surprising! I noticed a lot of unique undertones in my regular herbs that I haven’t tasted before. It really gives you a pure, clean taste that is miles above some low-end vaporizers.

In terms of appearance, this vaporizer is really sleek. The slanted design gives it a modern look, but it also has a practical benefit too by making it much less likely that your herbs will fall into the heating element. The Silver Surfer is really simple to clean. Just take a few minutes to clean the wand from time to time or to wipe down the mouthpiece if you share the vaporizer with your roommate or friends.

Another huge perk is the options for customization. You can design your own Silver Surfer Vaporizer in the color you like best or even select a custom image to fit your cover. You get a hand made glass marble pick and temperature nob that really makes this unit unique. You can even add custom engraving if you want! Plus, your unit comes with a nice padded travel bag to protect your glass when you take it on the road. Overall, the SSV is a top pick if you want customization.

I really enjoyed using the Silver Surfer because it gives massive vapor with very little herb. Honestly, a little goes a long way and it hits hard! The only real downside to this model is the price. It’s definitely one of the most expensive vaporizers that I have tried, but for all that customization and the stellar performance, it’s really a good investment in the long run.

iTaste VV Vaporizer Review

Most vape pens have the same basic design, so it’s rare to come across one that’s really different than all the others. But the iTaste VV is one of those rare jewels that really caught my eye and made me fall in love with pen vapes all over again. It is beautifully designed with a square shape and only slightly rounded edged. It’s small at only four inches tall and made from solid zinc metal. When I first held it, I was really surprised at how solid it felt. It’s really made with quality in mind and it shows by just how sturdy it feels in your hand. I also really loved the backlit LED screen and control panel. It just feels high tech from the moment you pick it up.

While it is definitely attractive, performance is what matters most and the iTaste VV didn’t disappoint. In fact, it went way beyond what I would typically expect to find from such a tiny little vape pen. It heats up the oil quickly and hits hard and fast. This powerful little pen gives a great smooth taste with no metallic aftertaste, which is a huge perk.

I was really excited that the iTaste gives you variable voltage options. You can adjust from 3.3 to 5.0 volts and the wattage can be adjusted from 6 to 11. The customization is really perfect and it comes with a manual that helps walk you through the settings and how to program it correctly to get your perfect vape. As an added bonus, the iTaste even includes a neat puff counter feature.

This pen comes with only the basics, but you can buy extra attachments if you want more. You can choose from an herbal atomizer, concentrate atomizer, and the e-juice clearomizer. They also offer bubbler and bong attachments. My favorite was the bubbler, which only requires a tiny bit of water and gives you massive vapor clouds with every puff. You can even use third party attachments if you prefer. The iTaste has 510 threads so most basic attachments will work.

I thought the battery performance was great with this vape pen. I can typically get dozens of puffs before I need to recharge. I like that the power button has a color indicator so I can quickly see when my charge is getting low and then I just plug it in using the micro USB port to recharge.

Ultimately, I highly recommend the iTaste VV vape pen. It offers a lot of customization options and even at its most basic, it has powerful performance that won’t disappoint. If you want an oil pen, this is the one I would recommend.
